U N W I N D
That's one of the things that a person can do to relieve his/her stress, anxiety or sadness due to the circumstances that bombards him/her everyday like assignments in school, stress from your boss, love life, or any thing that bothers him/her in a constant period of time.

Hiking is one of the activities
that we can do to unwind. Wikipedia defines 'hiking' as a long, vigorous walk, usually on trails (footpaths), in the countryside. It is effective way to take a break from any sort of problem and breathe fresh air that really rejuvenates the soul. That's what we did last March 18 after a week of sadness and stress.

After having our Victory Group (VG) meeting with a heavy topic about God being a Father to us, Ate Keisja, my VG Leader, and my other companions, Ate Hannah, Kuya Ruel, Louise and Yuki, decided to go to Camp John Hay, particularly Yellow Trail, to unwind and hike. Truly unplanned adventures are the best! However, I believe that God purposefully made it happen because I saw that all of us were stressed from our academic works like theses and exams. It was a short, yet recharging break from reality.

That moment was also a moment to find myself and ask God to give me inner peace and rest and to let out all the negative vibes by marveling to the creations  of God - looking at the sunset which represents the end and start of a chapter and the hills and valleys which are the highs and lows of life where God works in both places greatly. The song of Lauren Wells reminded m of this things on the lyrics wherein it says:

"No matter what I have, Your grace is enough.
No matter where I am, I'm standing in Your love.
On mountains, I will bow my life
To the one who set me there.
In the valley, I will lift my eyes to the one who sees me there.
When I'm standing on the mountain, I didn't get there on my own.
When I'm walking through the valley end, I know I am not alone!
You're the God of the hills and valleys!"
Seeing God's wonderful creations convinced me that whatever struggles or valleys I am experiencing right now, He is there to put me up again and restore me to success or mountain He promised me.

"I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from?
My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth."      - Psalm 121:1-2

He has always been and will always be my strength and refuge in all circumstances whether it be in the mountains or valleys. In his embrace is my resting place and I know that I am forever safe.

"UNWIND"
I believe searching for God's peace and rest is what it really means. As my Heavenly Father, asking Him to carry me when I am already tired and restores me is to unwind.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened,
and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,
for I am gentle and humble in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls.
For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Matthew 11:28-30 (NIV)
